Voted World's Best Sommelier in 2010 (his father was also an Italian champion sommelier) and Europe's Best Sommelier in 2009, Luca commenced wine courses at a very early age and quickly started picking up accolades, caps and titles. He turned professional sommelier in 2003 and immediately achieved two prestigious prizes: Concorso Nebbiolo and Master Sangiovese. Here he was able to taste the finest wines in the world and also became Chef Sommelier. Luca is currently a domestic and international advisor on wines, wine selection and wine collecting. He travels the world as a sought-after conference and event speaker and is columnist for various magazines, newspapers and TV channels. He has his own section in La Gazzetta dello Sport where by he communicates his distinctive philosophy on wine and of pairing wine with food. Among his achievements he also holds the 2005 Villa Sandi award and was voted wine personality of the year in 2011 by Barolo producers.
